Welcome to The Patent Print Shop, we are a small shop located in Vancouver, Canada. We produce artwork from vintage patents drawings filed with the USPTO. We look for unique patents with beautiful artwork or cultural significance. We then restore and prepare them as prints, or ready to hang framed artwork. . We custom print every order on heavy museum grade paper and using only archival and acid free materials. We pride ourselves of the quality of our prints and guarantee the prints will arrive as described.
We welcome custom orders, in fact, some of our most popular prints have come from client requests. Since we print to order we have flexibility to customizing the size and background colors. I hope you find the perfect piece to accent your home or that perfect gift for that hard to buy for person.

Our history
Liquid Studios, our parent company, was founded in 2012 as a commercial and travel photography business located in Vancouver. British Columbia. We provided commercial photography service and graphic design. In 2014 we started started offering home decor through online market places and through our websites Tradewinds-Travel and Hronekphotos.com.
In 2017 we started Patent Prints, although feedback was very positive we were not sure of their commercial success so 2017 we opened a small Etsy shop. Within a year this started became one our more popular ventures. By the end of 2019 we had over 5K sales and 1.5K five star review. In early 2022 we transitioned to this, our our own dedicated e-commerce platform, allowing for better pricing, selection and flexibility .
Our process
We restore the original documents maintaining the original drawing as much as possible. We then format them with the different backgrounds.
Printing is exclusively on Canon professional IPF printers using ink pigmentation on a heavy museum grade mat paper.

Optional frames
For ready to hang prints we offer several sizes of frames in black and white finishes with optional white mats.
All options and prices are in the “dimensions” menu on each individual product listing .
Shipping
- Prints up to 8×10″ are sent in a secure stay-flat mailer.
- Large art prints are carefully rolled and shipped in rigid 3” shipping tubes.
- Framed prints are carefully wrapped and delivered in cardboard shipping boxes
- Processing time prior to shipping 1-3 business days
- US shipments via Chit chats. Chit Chats partners with USPS for final delivery
- Prints – 3-6 days
- Framed prints 4-9 days
- All shipments are tracked and insured

- Canadian shipping via Canada Post Expedited Package Service

Our commitment
If you have a problem with your order please let us know what we can do to correct the situation. If it is not what you expected please return it to us within a month of receiving it for a full refund.
